My Perspective

Perspective is the way we view the world around us.

The other day, I went for a walk and was greeted by a beautiful February day with temperatures at 60 degrees. As I wandered through our cow pasture, a cow patty caught my eye. My immediate thought was, "Wow, a squirrel had its lunch here." I continued walking but soon found myself turning back to take another look. These are the kinds of things I perceive differently than many others. For me, the image was captivating and wouldn't leave my mind until I attempted to capture it as my brain envisioned it.

When I observe nature, I feel compelled to see things from its perspective. My curiosity is piqued. So here I am, crouched down, attempting to view the world as a squirrel might. Why did it choose this spot to eat an acorn? Wow, the new grass is already sprouting, and it's only February! The cycle of life continues. The cow's diet must be good, as evidenced by this healthy poop. Thoughts whirl in my mind as I try to translate them into photographs. I didn't quite capture it, but that's typical for me. At the moment, I only have my iPhone to document my viewpoint. Hopefully, I'll soon be able to buy my dream camera and lenses. Then perhaps the capturing will improve, or at least the quality will.
